Today is just another day

I'm setting on the couch,  
I'm drinking one more cup of coffee.
I'm wondering where the hell this all went wrong.

I know just what I'm feeling,
And I'm wondering if its real,
And if I'll ever come to see the break of dawn. 

It was a terrible day.

I feel like I'm speeding,
And my mind, it just keeps reeling,
And I know that I'd be better off in bed.

But my heart is really pounding,
And the melody, it found me,
It's forever up inside my head.

And I can't send it away.
 
No sleep tonight,
Stay with me,
No dreams allowed.
Today is just another day.

I have a strong belief,
That I'll be getting no sleep,
When tomorrow or today comes.
I'm in this too deep.

But this weighs heavy on my mind,
And I just gotta take the time,
To write this melody before I sleep.

Was such a horrible day.

It's after midnight,
Darkness around me,
And I'm praying for some sleep,
For some relief.
But you won't take me there.

No sleep tonight,
Stay with me,
No dreams allowed.
